Reflections on Social Networks in Education

Social Networking can be an incredible tool for education. Websites like Twitter (@EmmaDenhoff) allow many people to communicate ideas and news. I mostly use twitter to be updated about new studies on education and show many resources of educators. Websites like Ted talks and Khan Academy can be used by teachers to help supplement teaching in the classroom. There are many great tools online that fosters collaboration online. As well, there are tools such as Google Docs that help students work together in separate locations.
